WhatsApp is used by billions of people around the world, making it a lucrative target for spammers. While it offers some basic spam management tools, blocking all spam contacts is by far the best way to keep your inbox clean. To keep it that way, WhatsApp is working on adding some new shortcuts to make it easier to block annoying people and businesses.
WABetaInfo is once again focusing on features in development and found two new and easy ways to block spam in the latest beta version. With WhatsApp v22.214.171.124 beta installed, you will see a new Block button next to Reply and Mute in message notifications. This allows you to quickly block any new business or unknown person from bothering you anymore.
In addition, you can also select your existing chats from the default Chats tab and click the drop-down menu in the upper right corner to see the new blocking option. This method involves several steps, but is still much simpler than the original process. So the next time you’re interrupted by a spam message while using your favorite Android phone, you’ll know exactly what to do.
Both of these blocking methods are active in the latest beta version of WhatsApp. You can sign up for its beta program from the Play Store or download the latest WhatsApp beta from APK Mirror to get instant access to these features. Hopefully, those of us with the stable version of the app won’t have to wait too long to get these useful options.
