The month of August is here and PC gamers have a reason to rejoice this month as some really interesting games are coming their way. In addition, the reboot of Saints Row will be something that fans of the franchise will look forward to for a long time. This month also brings Hearthstone: Murder at Castle Nathria, the second expansion of the year, as well as the massive Total War: Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires update coming out this month. Finally, for fans of mystery games, Immortality offers you something unique. Let’s take a look at the 5 best PC games released this August.

Thymesia
The upcoming game brings an interesting twist to the RPG genre. Taking a leaf out of Dark Soul’s book, the game is similar to Soul where players must use the power of death and disease to curse enemies. Developed by OverBorder Studio and published by Team17, the game follows the main character Corvus, who is in a medieval world battling knights and monsters. What’s more, Corvus can use plague as a weapon system. The game comes out on August 18th.
Saints Row
Saints Row IV was released in 2013. Since then, fans have been asking for a new Saints Row game. While what they’re getting isn’t a completely new game, the reboot has enough promise to excite loyal fans. The core of the game remains the same, your main goal is to dominate the 9 districts and establish illegitimate businesses to help fund your ambitions. The game has reworked everything from graphics to gameplay mechanics. Players will also get a detailed character creator as well as a co-op multiplayer mode. The game comes out on August 23rd.
Hearthstone: Murder at Nathria Castle
The popular online card game got its second expansion this year with Murder at Castle Nathria. The expansion brings no less than 135 new cards, the Location card type and the Infuse keyword to the game. This adds new mechanics as well as new deck combos for players to try out. The extension was added yesterday, August 2nd.
Total War: Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires
The highly-anticipated update to Warhammer, which will bring all three of the game’s campaigns together and merge them into a gigantic single map, is coming this August. Unlike previous campaigns, the focus is not on survival battles and mission objectives, but on conquering the map. A lot of things are changing from adding a race, changing victory conditions and more. Players should expect a completely different game once it releases on August 23rd.
Immortality
Unlike the other games on this list, Immortality is a story-driven game. Players will have to look at archive footage to piece together the mystery of missing actress Marissa Marcel. The game comes out on August 30th.
