Yesterday, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 11 flagship smartphone in China with a starting price of 3,999 yuan ($580). The global launch of the device is scheduled for February 7.
The OnePlus 11 is currently available for pre-order in China and will go on sale for the first time on January 9. Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, started connecting with OnePlus fans as soon as the device was available for pre-order.
Li Jie shared in a Weibo post that the OnePlus 11 achieved the fastest sales record in the company’s history in just two hours. The president of OnePlus China also shared some words of gratitude for customers and fans of the brand.
However, the most interesting information of this post is hidden in the comments section. One Weibo user wrote in the comments of the post that he would be tempted to buy the OP11 if there was no Pro model available. In response, Li Jie claimed that the OP11 has come in its place and that there is no OnePlus 11 Pro.
This statement is in line with previous reports claiming that OnePlus will not launch a Pro model of its flagship this year. Considering that the company only launched the OnePlus 10 Pro last year without releasing a vanilla variant, this tactic is nothing new for the company.
OnePlus 11 specifications
The OnePlus 11 has a 6.7-inch E4 AMOLED Quad HD+ display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The phone boasts a 16MP front camera and three cameras on the back: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP telephoto lens with OIS.
This gadget is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 100W charging and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It has up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage and 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM. Other features it offers include an IP54 chassis, Gorilla Glass 5, Android 13, and ColorOS 13 OS.
Three different configurations of the gadget are offered: 12GB RAM + 256GB storage costs 3,999 yuan ($580), 16GB RAM + 256GB storage costs 4,499 yuan ($640) and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage costs 4,899 yuan ($710). Two color variants are available: green and black.
