Taskmaster
Taskmaster is a popular British comedy panel game show created by Alex Horne, a comedian and musician, and presented by Horne and Greg Davies. The show features five personalities, mostly comedians, who take part in various challenges. Horne acts as referee while Davies, the “Taskmaster”, judges the contestants’ performances and awards points accordingly. The concept was originally created by Horne for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010 and later adapted for television in 2015 when he secured a deal with Dave. The show was acquired by Channel 4 after its ninth series in 2019. Series 15 of Taskmaster began on Channel 4 on Thursday 30 March at 9pm.

Frankie Boyle:
Comedian and writer known for Mock the Week and controversial stand-up show. Frankie Boyle is a well-known comedian and writer who became famous for his appearances on the BBC’s Mock the Week and his stand-up show Frankie Boyle’s Tramadol Nights. He has also appeared in other popular shows such as 8 out of 10 Cats, Have I Got News for You, Live at the Apollo, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, I Lied to You? and QI.
Ivo Graham
Stand-up comedian and TV personality who co-presented Dave’s British as Folk. Ivo Graham is a stand-up comedian who gained popularity after winning So You Think You’re Funny in 2009. He has appeared on various popular TV shows such as Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, QI, Richard Osman’s House of Games and I have news for you. He recently co-presented Dave’s British as Folk with Darren Harriott and Fern Brady.
Jenny Eclair:
Comedian and actress known for grumpy old women and alternative commentary at Eurovision. Jenny Eclair is a popular comedian and actress who rose to fame with her starring role in Grumpy Old Women. She has also appeared in various shows such as Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, The Bill, Packet of Three, Loose Women, Comic Relief Does Fame Academy, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Splash. She gained popularity for her alternative commentary on the 2002 Eurovision Song Contestant.
Kiell Smith-Bynoe:
Actor known for Ghosts and Stath Lets Flats. Kiell Smith-Bynoe is a well-known actor who gained popularity after starring in the popular TV shows Ghosts and Stath Lets Flats. He has also starred in other TV shows such as Whitechapel, Friday Night Dinner, Enterprice, Ellie & Natasia, Man Like Mobeen and Death in Paradise. He has recently appeared in Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, Mood and The Witchfinder.
Mae Martin:
Canadian comedian and BAFTA Award nominee known for creating and starring in Feel Good. Mae Martin is a popular Canadian comedian who became famous for creating and starring in the show Feel Good. They began their career in Canada writing for the Baroness von Sketch Show sketch series before moving to London and performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. They have also taken on various roles in other popular shows such as Uncle, Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier, Comedians of the World and Stewardess. Martin identifies as non-binary and uses they/is and she/her pronouns.
Taskmaster Season 15 Line Up comics
Taskmaster is back with a new line-up of comedians competing for the chance to win the coveted gilded statue of Greg Davies’ head. In the season premiere, Greg and Alex Horne welcomed five contestants – Frankie Boyle, Ivo Graham, Jenny Eclair, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Mae Martin. The first task required them to find the most reliable item weighing 1kg or less, with Mae winning with a 1kg full English breakfast. The second challenge was to unwind a ball of string within one minute and place it neatly on a pillow, a task that caused panic among some contestants who had not read the full instructions. Jenny and Mae completed the task with different approaches and Alex had to stop the clock.
