Samsung has started selling refurbished Galaxy S22 series devices at a discount through its “re-newed” program. This initiative by Samsung allows customers to purchase Galaxy smartphones that have been refurbished to be considered “like new.” All devices go through a refurbishment process in which they receive a brand-new battery, a new IMEI, and any broken or damaged parts are replaced by Samsung itself.

Samsung’s “re-newed” program has been around for a few years now, and every year new models are added to offer customers a more affordable option to buy a flagship device that also helps reduce e-waste. This week, Samsung has added the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra to its refurbished program. Refurbished Galaxy S22 models will be available from Samsung.com starting at $619 for the 128GB model. All three phones will be available in black, with the base Galaxy S22 also sold in green. Samsung will also be selling 256GB variants of the S22 and the S22 Ultra. Pricing for these refurbished models is significantly discounted from the launch prices of the Galaxy S22 series. The S22 Ultra originally sold for $1,199, with S22+ at $999, and S22 at $799 and up. These same prices apply to the newer Galaxy S23 series, so customers will save a good bit with these refurbished models. All three phones are powered by the solid Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and are eligible for software support for the next four years.
