The iPhone 14 is selling for what appears to be the lowest price ever. But, as expected, you have to jump through a number of hoops to get the most value out of what’s clearly too good to be true a deal on Apple’s latest iPhone. Oh, that’s true, but it’s not easy. For starters, the deal appears to be exclusive to e-commerce platform Flipkart at the time of writing and subject to unit availability, meaning the final price you end up paying may vary from time to time.

For example, just yesterday, the 128GB (PRODUCT)RED variant of the iPhone 14 was launched at Rs 68,999. Today, on April 1, 2023, the same model retails for Rs 70,999. So, make sure you keep up to date with pricing in case you’re looking for cheap iPhones. According to the latest prices available, the iPhone 14 is currently being sold at a discount of Rs 8,901 on Flipkart. That’s a price cut of nearly Rs 9,000. The original price of iPhone 14 128GB in India is set at Rs 79,900.

iPhone 14 offer: How it works at Rs 36,999

As we mentioned earlier, Flipkart is selling the 128GB (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 14 at a flat discount of Rs 8,901. The e-commerce site is also giving an additional cashback of Rs 4,000 on purchases made using HDFC Bank cards (credit non EMI, credit and debit card EMI transactions). Overall, this becomes a discount of Rs 12,901 and the effective price of the iPhone 14 turns out to be Rs 66,999.

Now for the not so direct/easy part. Additionally, the retailer says it will give an exchange value of up to Rs 30,000 on your current device, including a bonus of Rs 3,000 on select devices. A ‘flawless’ iPhone 11 can cost as much as Rs 18,450, an iPhone 12 for Rs 23,000 and an iPhone 13 for Rs 27,000.

The exchange value of Rs 30,000, wait for it… is reserved for the iPhone 13 Pro Max (even the iPhone 12 Pro Max is only worth Rs 28,000 on Flipkart). The point is, don’t sell your iPhone 13 Pro Max for an iPhone 14. Just don’t sell it. On the Android side, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 can get you Rs 22,800 in exchange. Again, neither should you.

Trading in an older iPhone like the 11 or 12 still makes more sense if you really, really want to get the iPhone 14. You’ll also probably get more bang for your buck here if you go for the iPhone 13, which is practically the same as the iPhone 14, just cheaper.

But coming back to the Flipkart deal, if you decide to part with your existing phone, the portal can give up to Rs 30,000, so technically the iPhone 14 can be availed at a net effective price of Rs 36,999.

The choice is of course yours, but the bigger issue is that there has never been a better time to buy an iPhone in India. With so many options and deals online, getting one for your specific budget is easier today than it was possible a few years ago. So choose wisely.
