IGNOU Admission 2023 – Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started IGNOU Admission 2023 for the January session on 28th December 2022 through online mode on the official website. The last date to apply is 31 January 2023. Prospective candidates can access the IGNOU 2023 admission portal at ignou.ac.in. Candidates aspiring for IGNOU 2023 admission will be able to complete their IGNOU 2023 registration process before the deadline.

Aspirants from SC/ST category can apply for a fee waiver provided they apply for one IGNOU program. Candidates who want to register for the second or third year can apply for IGNOU 2023 by filling out the re-registration form before the submission deadline. IGNOU offers admission to various UG, PG, Certificate, Diploma, PG Diploma, and Ph.D. programs in distance education and online education.

What’s new at IGNOU?

IGNOU Eligibility Criteria 2023

Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Studies (BTS)Class 10+2 or its equivalent or BPP from IGNOU to be eligible.
Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) (Revised)Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks for the general category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PH categories.ORBachelor’s Degree with Diploma (one year) in Library Science will also be eligible OR iii) Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of working experience in Library and Information Centre will also be allowed to take admissions into the course
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)Class 10+2 or its equivalent or BPP from IGNOU to be eligible.
Bachelor’s Degree Programmes (BDP)-B.A./B.Com/B.Sc.For B.A. – Candidates should have completed their 10+2 or its equivalent or BPP from IGNOU.For B.Com – Candidates should have completed their 10+2 or its equivalent or BPP from IGNOU.For B.Sc. – Candidates should have cleared 10+2 with science subjects or its equivalent qualification to be eligible.
Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme (BPP)Candidates need no formal education. They need to be at least 18 years of age.
Bachelors of EducationCandidates need to have a minimum aggregate of 50% in graduation and/or post-graduation in Sciences/Commerce/Humanity/Social Sciences. Candidates with a Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with a specialisation in Mathematics and Science with 55% marks or any other equivalent qualification.Along with the aforementioned qualification, candidates also require to be trained in-service teachers in elementary education. Or they should have completed a teacher education programme through face-to-face mode which is recognized by NCTE.There will be a relaxation of 5% in the eligibility requirements for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD categories. Relaxations will be given to Kashmiri migrants and war widow candidates as per the rules of the university.
B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) (BScN(PB)Class 10+2 with a Diploma of three years in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with at least two years of experience in the profession. (Male nurses or nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM Programme should possess a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery).ORCandidates who have cleared their Class 10th (matriculation) or its equivalent with a diploma of three years in General Nursing and Midwifery with at least five years of experience in the profession. (Male nurses or nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM Programme should possess a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery).

IGNOU Registration 2023

IGNOU has started IGNOU 2023 registration for the January session on 28th December 2022 on the official website at ignou.ac.in. Candidates could apply for IGNOU 2023 registration by filling out and submitting the form before the deadline. Candidates must visit the IGNOU registration portal – ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in to register and fill out their application forms. IGNOU registration fee can be paid through net banking, debit card, UPI or credit card.

Steps to Fill IGNOU Registration Form 2023

  1. Visit IGNOU Portal for University Admission 2023. (ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in)
  2. Click on the “Click here for new registration” tab.
  3. Complete the registration form displayed on the screen.
  4. After filling all the details in the IGNOU 2023 registration form, candidates have to click on the “Registration” tab.
  5. Students will receive a user ID and password on their registered email address and mobile number.
  6. Choose the program and mode of study materials.
  7. Now students are required to upload documents in prescribed format and size.
  8. Pay the application fee through Debit Card, Credit Card, ATM Card, UPI or Internet Banking.
  9. Finally, click the “Submit” button.
  10. Take few copies of duly filled IGNOU application form for future reference.
