Niantic recently revealed what it has in store for Pokémon GO for the month of March. For starters, the game gives players a chance to get their hands on Tornadus, a legendary Pokémon from the Unova region. However, in order to find it, they will have to participate in raiding battles.

While access to any legendary Pokemon in a mobile game always garners a fair amount of hype, many players may have something more worthwhile to focus on. Shiny hunting has been a popular aspect of the franchise since the variant’s debut in the second generation. This brings us back to Pokemon GO.

While shiny Pokemon are present in the mobile game, Niantic is notoriously stingy when it comes to the appearance of these creatures.

So what about Tornadus in his incarnation? Will players find its rare variant in Pokémon GO?

Players can encounter Shiny Tornadus (Incarnate Forme) in Pokémon GO.

It has been confirmed that players will be able to encounter Shiny Tornadus, even in his Incarnate Form, during the upcoming rotation of Pokemon GO Raid Bosses. With that in mind, players can start preparing for the long process of shiny hunting through Raid Battles.

The first thing trainers will need to know if they plan to hunt the Tornadus shiny variant is that they will be at their best on March 1st, 2023. From 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time, Tornadus will be the creature of interest for the weekly Raid Hour. This will greatly increase the chances of one spawn in raid locations. This means hunting down his shiny form will take less time.

Pokemon GO players will have to find a way to ensure a steady supply of raid passes. These items can be found once per day by rotating photo discs located anywhere in the gym. While this is a great way to secure a single raid attempt, trainers looking to find a shiny Tornadus may need to complete multiple raids.

Players can purchase raid passes from the Pokemon GO store for 100 pokecoins. Since this currency can take a while to crush, you would most likely be better off buying your raid passes with real money.

In this case, trainers will need to buy Pokecoins, with a base rate of $1 per 100. While this amount may seem trivial, it can add up quickly if players are unlucky with their great odds.

Trainers can also choose to spend money on healing items such as potions and revives. These items are a must for those who want to grind raids, as players will need to heal their party at some point.

Some of the best counters trainers can bring into this fight are the offensive Rock, Ice, and Electric creatures. Xurkitree, Mamoswine, and Shadow Weavile are great choices for players looking to get through these raids.
