Amazon Drive has been around for more than a decade, allowing subscribers to back up their files to the company’s secure cloud server.

Users will have until the end of next year to transfer all the files they have stored on the server.

In the meantime, people will still be able to use cloud storage to access files that are already loaded on the server.

However, no new files will be added after January 1, 2023.

Anyone with photo or video stores on the server will see their files migrated to Amazon Photos without having to lift a finger.

It is important for users to remember that no other file types will be automatically migrated.

The company allows Amazon Prime subscribers to store as many photos as they want in Amazon Photos, with video storage limited to 5GB.
