Fans have been waiting with bated breath for Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty’s Hera Pheri 3. After recent reports said that Akshay is working on the sequels of his popular comedy films including Hera Pheri, fans were expecting an official announcement soon.
Paresh Rawal confirmed that Kartik Aaryan has been brought on board for the sequel. When a fan asked the veteran actor if Kartik is doing a film, he tweeted, “Yes, it’s true.” However, Babu Bhaiya did not reveal the rest of the cast or whether Akshay is a part of the third installment.
On the other hand, a report said that Akshay has opted out of the film. Kumar reportedly backed out because he didn’t like the “quality of scripts” of the sequel, knowing the expectations of his fans.
Akshay Kumar’s fans soon took to Twitter to express their anger and asked the makers to bring him on board. Fans said, “There is no Hera Pheri without Akshay Kumar.”
The tweet read: “Without @akshaykumar this movie will flop and won’t have the same vibe though I like @TheAaryanKartik but we waited years for Akki sir and now it’s totally frustrated #HeraPheri3.” Another user wrote, “Hum Bhi To Dekhe Kon Hai Aisa Actor Jo Ye Film Me #AkshayKumar Ke Barabari Kar Sake! No one can justify this role, without him it’s gone before it happens. #HeraPheri3.”
Others pointed out that if Kartik replaces Akshay, he will not be able to live up to the character of Raju in the film. Netizens also expressed that they would boycott the film if it did not star Akshay as Raju.
